This picture gives you an idea of what the back looks like. The back, backstrapping on the headstock, and the heel cap were all taken from the same cherry board. The neck is also made of cherry, but much lighter stock. As cherry darkens with exposure to the sun, the neck may yet approximate the darker hue of the back. (The guitar was less than a year old when these photos were taken.)
In this image you can also see the backstrip, which is maple bounded by BWB purfling on each side. If you would like a backstrip on your guitar, let me know. |
